ACCESSIBILITY

A website everyone can use.

We want everyone to be able to use this website – with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or without a mouse. This page says how far we have come and where problems remain.

What the website offers

  • Operable by keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator
  • A skip link straight to the main content as the first element of every page
  • An accessible view with larger text, stronger contrast and no animation – switchable at the top of every page
  • Moving elements stop when your device reports “reduce motion” or the accessible view is switched on
  • Content stays readable at 320 pixels wide – equivalent to 400% magnification – without horizontal scrolling
  • The home page and the most important pages are available in plain language

What is not yet accessible

We know about these limitations. We are working on them and will update this list.

  • English text on other-language pages

The French pages are fully translated; only the Mission Supporter profiles deliberately remain in English there and are marked as English. On the Spanish, Romanian and Polish pages, much content still appears in English without being marked as English, so screen readers pronounce it incorrectly. These translations follow next.

  • Interactive operation exercise

The demo of an operation exercise is highly dynamic. It has not yet been fully tested with a keyboard or with screen readers and may contain barriers.

  • PDF documents

The PDF documents available for download, such as whitepapers, have not yet been checked for accessibility.

  • Related pages on separate addresses

Documentation, system status, Trust Center, support and the demo on their own subdomains were not part of this check.

  • Very small labels

Some labels are set very small. Their contrast is sufficient, but they are hard to read. The accessible view enlarges them.

How it was checked

  • Automated check on 24 September 2026 with axe-core against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, levels A and AA: 669 page views – all 446 pages in the sitemap in every language offered on desktop, every second one also at mobile width. Result after the fixes: no automatically detectable violation.
  • Keyboard: tab order, visible focus and skip link on the home page, the self-check and the contact page, 60 steps each.
  • Reflow: 300 pages in four languages checked for clipped text at 320 pixels wide.
  • Fixed during this check: insufficient contrast of small labels (more than 600 instances), targets that were too small, code blocks not reachable by keyboard, one faulty list markup, long words clipped on narrow screens and a ticker that screen readers read out twice.
  • Not yet done: tests with screen readers and with people with disabilities. Automated checks find only part of all possible barriers.
